New Designs, New Fabrics

It’s steamy out there but I’m trying to stay cool in the studio and have been working on some subtle, classic breezy styles for summer… Wait! who am I kidding!?! I’m creating maximal, over the top patterns that will make you smile and cheer us up! The Y2K revival and 1970s patterns and colors continue to dominate the runway with bold patterns and textures. Next I’ll have to take up crochet.
Here’s a few new designs. Visit my Spoonflower store for yardage.

Making Masks

50 two-sided masks ready for the Boston Area Mask Initiative. I’ve been using leftover T-shirt jersey for ties. Haven’t done these ones because I’m not sure what they want. I’ll have more of these soon, for friends and family. This was a challenge (because I’m not really an experienced sewist) and the process was an extension of my Lenten “fast.” Every design is unique and one of my original fabric proofs. May the recipients stay well.

SOS – 2019

Open Studios Table of art by Eleanor Ramsay

What a whirlwind. Thanks to everyone who came by to check out my latest work and the gorgeous art from Linda Jung and Lisa Phillips Markham. I set a huge challenge for myself creating the outfits for the fashion show and items for SOS. I no longer dread the sewing machine. ?? Feeling good but exhausted.

Updated Calendars!

Every once in a while, I’ll get a prompt to create a tea towel calendar. Many people collect them, featuring them on the wall the year they are printed for and using them as dish rags at the new year.

Here is a collection of calendar designs I have created that you could make tea-towel or posters from. I will update these designs to 2020 in July, 2019.

See the current collection at Spoonflower.
